Best reasons to visit Zakynthos – Greece

Zakynthos Island hosts the most famous beach in the world called NAVAGIO or SHIPWRECK beach. You can visit it by boat or you can see it from the viewing platform that you can reach by car.

In Zakynthos island lives Caretta Caretta. The Caretta caretta turtle is a specimen still living in the Mediterranean and possibly you can see it in Laganas bay.

You will swim at the best beaches in Greece. Shipwreck beach, Marathonisi beach, Gerakas beach, Vasilikos beach, and finally the blue lakes with blue clear crystal water!

has two very high white rocks. They exist in the village Keri. If you go there by boat you will swim in the clear blue water under the rocks, otherwise, you can watch the view from upside down from the lighthouse. The view is breathtaking!

Xigia beach is located at the eastern side of the island. This beach is a great place for anyone with aches, pains, and arthritis to bathe as the sulphul in the water helps ailments.

Zakynthos main town. You don’t have to miss a walk on the paved roads of the main town! Shopping souvenirs and whatever you desire at Alexandrou Roma Main Street with many shops have drinks or dinner at Saint Marcus square, drink a cocktail at the roofs of Solomos square and light a candle at Saint Dionysios church which is the main big church of the patron of the island.

Vasilikos village has a large pine wood and numerous sandy beaches. These beaches are the most beautiful of the entire island! Some of the most famous called Porto Kaminia, Banana beach, Dafni beach, and Gerakas beach. Very busy area with many restaurants and places to accommodate you!

Traditional villages on the north side of the island where you can go by car make a day trip and meet the Zakynthian villager’s culture. The most famous are Kambi, Agios Leon, Exo chora, Maries, Anafonitria. All of them can offer you their traditional products honey, olive oil, wine, local cheese, and many traditional souvenirs.

Nightlife in Zakynthos is awesome because you have many choices. First of all, if you like party you can visit Laganas or Argassi, where lots of clubs with famous dj’s are ready to entertain you. Another option is to Have a drink on a roof garden at the main square of Zakynthos, watching the amazing sea view and listening calm music.
